Kōkua Hawai’i Foundation Field Trip Grants
Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation Field Trip Grants help bring students to outdoor sites where they can experience hands-on learning about Hawaiʻi’s environment. Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation offers financial assistance up to $1,000 per school to Hawaiʻi public schools which otherwise could not afford to participate in environmental field trips. Most field trip locations provide hands-on learning experiences for students grades K-12 and offer educational tours that can be customized to any grade level. Applications for the 2023-2024 school year open on May 1, 2023 and close March 1, 2024!

Haleʻiwa Elementary’s 4th Graders on the Kōkua Learning Farm
We welcomed 4th Graders from Haleʻiwa Elementary School on the Kōkua Learning Farm! Students learned about different parts of kalo, harvested, and planted in our kalo library. They also revisited the different parts of a plant, picked Swiss Chard, and made yummy veggie wraps as a quick snack on the farm! 🌱🙌🏽
Kōkua Learning Farm Field Trip with Sunset Beach Elementary
The Kōkua Learning Farm recently welcomed Sunset Beach Elementary’s 2nd Graders for a fun farm field trip! These curious keiki learned about different the importance of bee pollination and participated in a scavenger hunt to find the different parts of a plant. We love having students on the farm for more ʻāina-based education!
Kōkua Learning Farm Field Trips in November!
Haleʻiwa Elementary School and the Kōkua Learning Farm are continuing to build pilina this fall semester with all students from all grade levels visiting the farm! The Kōkua Learning Farm recently welcomed 2nd graders for a farm field trip!
