‘AINA In Schools offers this free workshop on basic gardening skills for any and all teachers, staff, and parents at Ahuimanu Elementary. We especially encourage attendance by teachers whose classes will be part of the ‘AINA IS garden program this year. This is your opportunity to 'ask the expert', learn about the basics of what it takes to keep your gardens alive and thriving, and pick up some great ideas for how to integrate classroom studies in the gardens. School gardening is a movement that is sweeping the globe! It is recognized as an important means of reconnecting children and adults with nature, and as an exciting avenue for real-world, hands-on experiential learning. Come and see what the garden has to offer!
