Hawaiʻi State Farm Fair
July 16, 2017 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Location: Kualoa Ranch
It’s Ag-Tastic! The 54th annual Hawaii State Farm Fair, sponsored by the Hawaii Farm Bureau in partnership with the Hawaii State Department of Agriculture will be held at Kualoa Ranch on Saturday, July 9, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 10, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. The event is free to children and students with a valid student ID and just $5.00 for the general public. Fairgoers of all ages will enjoy the numerous educational exhibits in the Department of Agriculture’s “Buy Local, It Matters” Pavilion. Keiki will enjoy seeing live animals including steer, goats, chickens, lamb and more on display in the 4-H Livestock Tent. There will be entertainment from The Vitals and Augie T., educational demonstrations, and the always popular on stage contests like watermelon eating, corn husking and chili pepper eating. And for the first time, we will be adding a Pa‘i‘ai eating contest sponsored by Kamehameha Schools. The Kamehameha Schools’ Country Market and Plant Sale will have some of the freshest locally grown produce along with one of the island’s largest plant sales with diverse offerings. There will also be horse rides, kiddie rides, bouncers and fabulous food from vendors like Beyond Burritos, Grandma G’s, Guava Smoked, the Hawaii Pineapple Company, Waimanalo Country Farms and more. Also, the Keiki Farm Hands exhibit will again give children a chance to experience what a day on the farm is like along with milking a life-sized cow (replica), chicks, hands-on displays and giveaways of an animal paddle board from GEICO for the first 750 kids each day to visit the exhibit.
