The Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation Field Trip Grant Program helps bring students to outdoor sites where they can experience hands-on learning about Hawaiʻi's environment. Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation offers financial assistance to Hawaiʻi public schools which otherwise could not afford to participate in environmental field trips. Most field trip locations provide hands-on learning experiences for students grades K-12 and offer educational tours that can be customized to any grade level.

Art Explorium

Kaimuki, Oʻahu
Grade Levels Served: PreK- Grade 6

Art & Sustainability Field Trips! Art Explorium hosts field trips for students preschool through 6th grade with a special focus on reused materials. Art Explorium can either do general reuse art activities or they especially like to try to connect the activities to what students are studying in school. For example, one class was studying animals and habitats so they created their animal and an animal habitat at Art Explorium with materials from the studio. Another class was studying poetry and they created decoupage poem boxes using old magazines and old boxes. Another class was studying communities so they created a community mural and painted communities with watercolors. $5 per student.
