2013-14 School Recycling Challenge

The Can Manufacturers Institute (CMI) is continuing the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the aluminum beverage can with the third annual Great America Can Roundup School Recycling Challenge. Schools compete to recycle the most aluminum beverage cans per capita between America Recycles Day and Earth Day!

The School Recycling Challenge is open to all K-12 public and private schools located in the United States and the District of Columbia. The school recycling the most aluminum beverage cans per capita between November 15, 2013 and  April 22, 2014 is the “National Champion” winning $5,000.  Additionally, there will be a “State Champion” for each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia who will receive a prize of $1,000. The registration deadline is January 16, 2014  and the competition officially begins on November 15th 2013.
