3Rs School Recycling
Calling all Oʻahu schools! Does your school have or need classroom recycling bins? As of the 2015-2016 school year, the Department of Education (DOE) launched a school recycling program for all of Oʻahu’s schools. Each school now has at least one red “Recycle Only” receptacle on-site typically located next to the red dumpster for trash. We are excited to support your recycling efforts and look forward to working with your school this year, especially with the Department of Education's recent for all Oʻahu DOE schools!
To begin the process of joining the program please complete the 3R’s School Recycling Program Registration and Bin Inventory Form via this link
This form will include, the most up-to-date school contact information including the 3R’s School Recycling Advisor who will oversee the program on your campus. You will also share how many Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation classroom recycling bins you may already have at your school or would like to request for your school.
Because school recycling receptacles now accept commingled recyclables, all classrooms only need one classroom recycling bin, so schools that have two bins in each classroom, will report so on this form so that we may redistribute extra bins to schools in need.
