3R’s School Recycling & Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives

October 01, 2020

Kokua Hawai’i Foundation’s 3Rs School Recycling Program Coordinator is available for virtual educational presentations on waste reduction and the 3Rs, at your school. Don’t forget that there are still some amazing projects and activities you can do at home to keep learning and ACTING on the principles of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Check out these great ideas from Project Learning Tree, including doing your own waste audit, product life cycle analysis, and family member interviews. Please reach out to [email protected] with requests or questions!

Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drive (AARD) take two! We had to cancel our last AARD at Kainalu Elementary due to the extended stay at home order, but cases are on the decline, spaces are opening back up, and it is looking like our two October recycling drives are on! We hope to see you there, where masks and distancing precautions will be in place. Please note that, sadly, we are currently unable to accept documents for shredding, household goods, and batteries. Check out the links below to see what is accepted at our next recycling drives.

We still have a couple pukas to fill for our 2020-2021 school recycling drive calendar. If you are a school on Oʻahu and would like to host an Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drive (it’s easy!), please reach out to [email protected] with requests.
