An enormous amount of recyclables and volunteers showed up at Kahalu’u Elementary School on Saturday, September 20th to participate in their actioned packed Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drive. The Kahalu’u school ohana hit the ground running at 8:15 am when people started delivering items to the school even though the drive was scheduled to begin at 9:00am. By 9:00am, T & N Computer Recycling had already received over 1,000 lbs. of old computers. You can just imagine how the remainder of the drive faired. Kahalu’u had one of the most successful recycling drives we’ve seen to-date by collecting a whopping 17,000 lbs. of recyclables. Congratulations are in order for Ms. Afualo and her dynamic school and the LDS missionaries who rendered much needed manpower that day! Mahalo to you all for making Kahalu’u Elementary a recycling resource to their community.

*Please come out and join us at our next October Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives from 9:00am- 12:00pm:

Let’s keep up the momentum started at Kahalu’u!
