ʻĀINA In Schools off to a Great Start!
School is back in session and ʻĀINA In Schools is off to a great start! Around the island, volunteer docents are gearing up to teach garden-based lessons, composting, and nutrition education in 18 participating ʻĀINA schools. In preparation for the start of ʻĀINA lessons, schools and communities are building new garden beds, amending existing beds, and preparing the garden space at ʻĀINA Garden Parties.
Mahalo to these volunteer groups who came out to support ʻĀINA Schools with their garden parties: U.S. Navy, UH CTAHR students and Holoholo Farms & General Store.
Volunteers are still needed for these Septemeber ‘ĀINA Garden Parties, so please come and join us!
