Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives
Kamiloiki Elementary and Niu Valley Middle School both hosted Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives this January. Between them, over 30 student and staff volunteers helped to recycle just under 8,000 pounds of scrap metal and 3,000 pounds of e-waste. A special shout out goes to the volunteers at Niu Valley and all of our recycling partners who pushed through a very rainy day and horrendous traffic for a very successful drive. The e-waste truck and Schnitzer Steel bins were filled to the brim! Also collected at the Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives were batteries, old electronics, gently used clothing and household items, and more from the community. For the full schedule of upcoming recycling drives, click here. All Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives are held on Saturdays from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Upcoming recycling drives in 2017 are:
- February 4: Kainalu Elementary School
- February 25: Keoneʻula Elementary School
