Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives
We are now seeking schools to host Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives for the 2017-2018 school year! The drives happen twice a month on Saturdays at Oʻahu schools, and proceeds from select recycled materials go to support the host schools, making this both a fundraiser and a great opportunity for your school and neighboring communities to recycle a variety of items.
To claim a day on next year’s schedule, email [email protected]. Spots are limited, and it is first come, first serve!
Huge mahalos to all of our amazing partners who made the 2016-2017 recycling drives such a success. These events wouldn’t happen without the generous and helpful staff of our host schools and Schnitzer Steel, T&N Computer Recycling, Goodwill, Aloha Overstock, Interstate Batteries, and Pacific Biodiesel. Through 18 AARDs, we diverted over 115,000 pounds of scrap metal, computers/electronics, printer cartridges, laptops, game systems, batteries, TVs, clothing, household items, HI-5 containers, household cooking oil, and confidential documents away from incineration.
