Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives
We are now accepting requests from schools to host Aloha ‘Āina Recycling Drives for the 2017-2018 school year. We only have 5 more dates available and schools claim them on a first come, first serve basis. Please email [email protected] if you have questions or are interested in claiming the following dates:
2017: October 7th, December 2nd
2018: January 13th, March 31st, April 28th, May 12th
Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives are held twice a month on Saturdays at schools across Oʻahu. They provide opportunities for schools and communities to recycle computers, TVs, scrap metals, appliances, beverage cans & bottles, household items, clothing, used cooking oil, batteries, toner cartridges, and more. Proceeds from HI-5 cans and bottles, scrap metals, and used cooking oil go to the host school, making these events fundraising opportunities as well.
The Aloha ʻĀina Recycling Drives are coordinated by Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation as part of the 3R’s School Recycling Program and are made possible through sponsorship from Schnitzer Steel and support from other local recycling partners.
