Back to School Resources For A Great Year 2023-2024
We are thrilled to kick off the new 2023-2024 School Year with a range of exciting Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation offerings to enhance your teaching and promote environmental activities within your classrooms. Hereʻs what we have in store for you:
KHF Project Grants: KHF Project Grants are available to support educators like you who are dedicated to incorporating environmental and sustainability initiatives into their teachings. These grants aim to encourage innovative and creative approaches to environmental education. Click here for more information.
KHF Field Trip Grants: KHF Field Trip Grants program promotes hands-on learning experiences that brings the classroom outdoors to enhance the studentsʻ knowledge of Hawaiʻi’s environment. Click here for more information.
‘ĀINA In Schools: All of the ‘ĀINA In Schools Garden, Nutrition, and Compost Curriculum are available for free download! Complementing the ‘ĀINA In Schools Curriculum, visit KHF’s Vimeo page to view a collection of educational videos and tutorials all about the program.
3R’s: This SY2324, KHF will be partnering with 20 schools across Oʻahu to promote responsible waste management practices. Find more about the 3R’s Program offerings here.
Plastic Free Hawaiʻi: KHF encourages you to explore various ways to incorporate plastic pollution solutions into your curriculum. Consider launching a campaign, hosting a beach cleanup, and/or participating in KHF’s School Mural Contest in November. Click here for more resources.
