This month, 4th graders in ‘ĀINA schools around Oʻahu are learning about the unique and special plants found only in Hawaiʻi. As part of the ‘ĀINA In Schools 4th grade Hawaiian Garden curriculum, students have the opportunity to plant native species adapted to their climate and region, accompanied by stories about their significance in Native Hawaiian history, culture, and medicine.
