Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation Benefit Dinner
Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation’s recent Benefit Dinner was a magical night set at Waimea Valley’s Proud Peacock restaurant. Guests were treated to delicious, locally sourced food prepared by Chef Thomas Naylor of Ke Nui Kitchen and music from Jack Johnson and friends, including Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation board member Kawika Kahiapo, and the North Shore’s Paula Fuga and Ron Artis II. The event celebrated our ongoing work supporting environmental education in Hawaiʻi’s schools.
Waialua Culinary Arts students joined us to fundraise for their upcoming trip to the Global Student Leadership Summit in Milan. The students helped not only in serving food, but had the opportunity to work alongside Chef Naylor in preparing the five-course meal. All tips were donated to support the trip to Europe. Mahalo to our members who helped the students raise over $1,700!
