September 05, 2017
Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation was presented with the 2017 Farm to School Lokomaikaʻi Award from the Hawaiʻi State Department of Agriculture at the Hawaiʻi Farm to School Symposium on August 30. Robyn Pfal, the DOA Farm to School Coordinator, had this to say about KHF:
“Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation represents the spirit of Lokomaikaʻi with your numerous statewide programs growing and supporting farm to school connections across the islands, as well as helping Hawaiʻi connect with national leaders with Hawaiʻi’s National Farm to School Network Core Partner position. From ʻĀINA In Schools directly connecting kieki to their local land, waters, and food, to great resources, generous Field Trip Grants and Mini-Grants, and other initiatives to mālama ʻāina… your vision, passion, investment, innovation, evolution, and continued partnership have been a tremendously generous contribution to our communities and other farm to school programs. Please accept this award in honor of your amazing work and kōkua.”
Mahalo to the Hawaiʻi State Department of Agriculture for this honor! Hawaiʻi State Department of Agriculture for this honor!
