Kōkua Hawaiʻi, Go Reusable!

April 05, 2017

In celebration of Earth Month, Foodland Super Market, Ltd. and Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation are joining efforts to encourage everyone to “Kōkua Hawaiʻi, Go Reusable!” and bring in their reusable bags every time they shop. Currently at Foodland, customers who shop with reusable bags are rewarded with a $.05 bag credit or 3 HawaiianMiles for each bag used. During the month of April, customers will have the option to donate their $.05 bag credit to Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation!“ All of us at Foodland have been truly inspired by our customers’ efforts to make using reusable bags a part of their grocery shopping routine and we’re happy to reward them as they support our environment,” said Jenai S. Wall, Foodland Chairman and CEO. “In fact, since the statewide plastic bag ban began in 2015, Foodland customers have earned more than $431,000 in bag credits and more than 10 million miles!” continued Wall. “This month, we’re inviting customers to celebrate earth day with us by donating their bag credits to support the good work of Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation.”
