While docents and ʻĀINA In Schools staff cannot come into schools to teach ʻĀINA Garden, Nutrition, and Compost Lessons in person, the lessons can still come to you! Check out the ʻĀINA In Schools Video Series to learn more about key concepts and practices in the curriculum! ʻĀINA Videos were shot on location at the Kōkua Learning Farm, Keiki and Plow, Nursery Garden, and Sunset Beach Elementary School and feature ʻĀINA In Schools staff and local keiki and were shot and edited by local videographer Tahnei Roy. These videos feature lesson content, activities, how-to's, and recipes from the ʻĀINA In Schools Curriculum that you can watch with your family! This first round of videos showcases ʻĀINA Healthy Snack Recipes including Poi Smoothie and Brainy Guacamole, and a variety of ʻĀINA Garden topics including How to Harvest Root Crops, The Harvest Song, Data Collection, Good Buddy Garden Creature Game, Herb Harvest and Butter Making. Click here to view the videos and be on the lookout for more ʻĀINA videos rolling out throughout November!
