Plastic Free Hawaiʻi Earth Month Beach Cleanup
May 04, 2017
In honor of Earth Month, 300 volunteers came out to our two beach cleanup sites – one at the James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge in Kahuku and one at Kailua Beach Park. In total, we cleaned 2,600 pounds of marine debris from those two locations. All volunteers at these cleanups were given pre-sale ticket codes for Jack Johnson’s Honolulu shows on August 4 and 5 at the Waikīkī Shell. Mahalo to Kailua Beach Adventures for hosting the Kailua location and mahalo to the Fish & Wildlife Service for hosting us in Kahuku. A final thank you to Sustainable Coastlines Hawaiʻi, Johnson ʻOhana Charitable Foundation, and Bee’s Wrap for supporting the cleanups.
