WASTED! The Story of Food Waste

Honolulu Museum of Art in partnership with Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation will host 5 screenings of Wasted! The Story of Food Waste at the Doris Duke Theatre November 19 - 22. Through the eyes of influential chefs like Anthony Bourdain, Dan Barber, Mario Batali, Massimo Bottura, and Danny Bowien, audiences will see how these chefs make the most of every kind of food, transforming what most people consider scraps into incredible dishes that create a more secure food system.

Join us on on Sunday, November 19 at 4:00pm for the film and post-screening discussion with local chef Ed Kenney, farmer Shin Ho, food recovery specialist Kuʻulei Williams, and Michael O’Keefe, assistant chief, C & C of Honolulu Refuse Division, who are all working to address food waste in Hawai‘i. Moderated by Jennifer Milholen of Kōkua Hawaiʻi Foundation. The discussion will be followed by a waste-free reception in Luce Pavilion with food and drink. Click here to get your tickets today!
