Ban Single-Use Plastics on Oʻahu! Support Bill 40!

We are all witness to the growing amount of plastic pollution in our environment which is why Bill 40 needs your support. The bill, which would put an end to single-use plastic straws, utensils, bags, and foam, is being considered by Honolulu’s City Council’s Public Safety & Welfare Committee this Thursday, August 29th at 9:00am.

Here’s what you can do:

  • Submit written testimony by TODAY  Wed., Aug. 28th!

    • Here’s your cheat-sheet:

      • Meeting date: 08-29-2019

      • Council Committee: Public Safety & Welfare

      • Agenda Item: Bill 40

      • Your Position: Support

      • Representing: Self

      • Site a reason(s) you would like to see single-use plastics banned. Target your reasons to be for the well being of the public and/or issues of public safety. 

  • Show up if you can! (There is no obligation to speak.)

  • Where: City & County Clerk’s Office
